We have visited this topic a couple of times recently, and again, for the
record, I would emphatically oppose banning vendors from the list.  In case
you haven't noticed, we don't exactly have unlimited choices of parts
dealers out there, especially for syncro parts, and they all provide useful
information to the list, not just to customers.  That in my opinion is a
good list member--someone who is interested in/owns vanagons, and tries to
help when their knowledge allows.

Have I had my problems with the list vendors?  Absolutely.  But I've usually
been able to resolve them offline, and not drag the list into it.  To me,
banning them would be kind of like having an Auto Show and not allowing any
manufacturers to participate.  Pretty soon we'll all own Studebakers if we
continue down this road.
