In my 90 Westy I had the relay behind the driver's seat ticking madly. This relay is to power the fridge, light and water pump. It only ticked when I was driving, not at idle or fast idle. It turned out it was not grounding properly at the ignition key. Once grounded properly the ticking stopped. When I was trying to find out where the ticking noise was coming from I was searching under the dash. It turned out that the relay was projecting its ticking noise from under the seat towards the dashboard. I needed a helper to crawl around the van while we were driving around to finally isolate where the ticking was coming from.
