The 195/75-14 is almost a perfect replacement size for the original. The stock 185's were taller than a 75 series, more like an 80? I would consider going to a 205/75 if they have it. s w <smorewhisky@YAHOO.COM>@gerry.vanagon.com> on 02/27/2002 10:10:32 AM Please respond to s w <smorewhisky@YAHOO.COM> Sent by: Vanagon Mailing List <vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM cc: Subject: Re: Tires one more time-185 to 195??? --- mark drillock <drillock@EARTHLINK.NET> wrote: > Sears sells this Michelin model with the label XC > LT4. > They are on special for $77 for a couple more days. > i went to the site to check these tires out and it said they are not the right size for a vanagon. i only need two tires (rear) and am currently running 185/?/14, i think it is ok to run different size tires as long as they are on the same axle, right? would i encounter any problems running the 195's on the rear and the 185's on the front???thanks ===== Scott Wilson 85 GL Westfalia __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
