Why not check out the 82 Westy diesel I have for sale.
 With EPA 29/29 MPG and no smog test requirements, it
could be a great deal to step into and start enjoying.
 It has 94.5 K original miles, original seats, and the
paint is still shiny.  It's going for $6900.  You can
see a picture on <www.ep.com> , volkswagen, van,
Virginia.  The vanagon Westies actually have more room
than the new Eurovan campers (check out Westy overhead
and under seat cabinets for starters).  Those krauts
could really design a camper (of course they had about
40 years or so to perfect it).  Winnebago started in
94, so we'll see how they are in 40 years.
