Hey, drive whatever you want to drive for whatever reasons. If you're trying to be logical, the orginal literature for the Vanagon listed interior room as being 201 sq ft. Guess what? The short wheelbase Eurovan has 201 sq ft according to the latest literature. I like the Eurovan. I drag race motorcycles and it gets used extensively for driving long distances to the tracks towing a 1 ton trailer and all kinds of people and crap on the inside. I can still use it to commute becase the thing gets 20 mpg in mixed city driving. None of my old Westy vans ever got 20 mpg on the open road. Ever. On the open road at speeds more appropriate to modern driving (80-85 mph) I still get 23 mpg. Seat 7, sleep 4, get decent mileage, tow a reasonable size trailer, and provide a safe, reliable, comfortable trip to work or halfway across the country. I've had this thing less than a year and I've got 20k miles on it. It's the first car I've really *liked* since I bought the 78 Westy back in 82. Az -- AH#56
