If you've got a stock fuel and ignition system, even with a tuneup and at peak performance you're talking about an engine rated at 64 hp (according to the owner's manual for my '81). Couple that with an automatic, and you've pretty much got the gutless wonder. Mine has a new-ish 2.0 motor with "big valve" heads, Weber carburetion and a four-speed manual. I don't have any hp figures, but it pulls strong through all the gears and STILL is pretty dadgum slow. Factor in that I live in Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains, so half the time I'm pushing enough air that it takes WFO to keep momentum up on the highway... _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
