Gary,

Polls are not very valid or useful unless the question asked is clear in its meaning. I am not clear as to what is meant by your wording"

"how they feel about listmembers giving references to SOMEONE ELSES ebay listing."

On the list, I mostly see people passing on the existence of ebay auctions and ep.com listings related to vanagons without any endorsements or "references" - just on a "for your information" basis. Only occasionally do I see someone give positive or negative information about an item that is listed, i.e., give it a reference.

So what do you mean when you ask this question? What is it that I am supposed to say that I feel positively or negatively about?

And what does it matter anyway? If a person doesn't want any mail about ebay listings, all they have to do is set up a filter that sends items from Gerry which are about ebay into the trash, not their inbox. We all can use filters to set up our own email empire and only see what we want.
