This is a question for Boston Bob and others with WBX rebuild experience. I
have never disassembled a WBx engine. Knowing VW's propensity to reuse coring
technology though, I would get a 914 windage tray and send it on to BB to see
if the internal webbing will support its mounting - or what mods of the tray
would be required.

UNfortunately, I know of no aftermarket performance suppliers supporting the
WBX engine. Actually, what little is available for the Type 4 really derives
from the Porsche 914 market.
