what are the engine codes for the 1.9L wbx?
from what i understand the '84 1.9L wbx is engine code DH
and the '85 1.9L wbx is engine code MV...
i took my '84 wolfsburg into the shop yesterday and i was going to have them
advance the timing 5 deg. BTDC among other things..
well, they told me my van had a '85 engine (code MV) and it was ALREADY
advanced 5 deg. BTDC by the factory...????? anyone heard this? my engine
code sticker clearly says its a DH ('84) engine, stamped on the engine
code/specs sticker under the dash.. and i know its the orig engine..
so anyway they messed w/ the timing and now its hard to start the van, and
theres a delayed response when stepping on the gas before the van goes.. is
that a result of the timing being off?

my van is a '84 wolfsburg, so it has power steering, like the '85 engines,
but the sticker clearly says DH.. did all '84 wolfsburgs get the MV engine
or the DH?
any help appreciated..
