A while ago we had a discussion about driving to Labrador and
taking a ferry over the Newfoundland.  Someone talked about a
NEW road from Cartwright down to the road ( Rt 510) that connects
to Bay Blanc Sablon where one can take the short ferry ride over to
Newfoundland.

I just called the Lab-Newfy 1-800 # and they said that road is NOT
yet finished and will not be ready till Oct - Nov of this year.

Does anyone know any differently???   I would like to take that route
this summer (late June or early July).  malcolm
