Didn't know about the GMC but I believe Kuralt started his road trips using a
early 27' Travco motorhome which he described as bone jarring and constant
trouble. Later he tried out a 29' FMC with a rear mounted 440cu" Dodge motor
but did not like it either.
Being a fan of vintage motorhomes with cult followings, I can  now add the
Ultra Van to my list of fantasy favorites.
