Aargh. Now I have a headache. I just re-read my post. You're right, they are 12v batteries; I was right the first time. Sorry for the confusion. I can tell you that it works well, though. Please refer to my FIRST post from Fri, 2 Jul 1999 for details: http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind9907A&L=vanagon&P=R7340 Brent >From: Angus Gordon <agordon@BRIGHT.NET> >Reply-To: Angus Gordon <agordon@BRIGHT.NET> >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: Re: Deep CYCLE Auxillary Battery....Will ANYTHING fit? >Date: Fri, 5 Apr 2002 07:38:01 -0500 > >>In my earlier response about the U1 sized wheelchair batteries I >>mistakenly >>said that I wired them in PARALLEL. This is incorrect. They are wired in >>SERIES. Wiring them in Parallel would result in the same voltage (approx). >>By wiring in SERIES, you get twice the line voltage (12v). > > > >I hate to confuse the issue, but these are actually 12V batteries. >Wiring them in parallel would be correct.
