Hello listers. I have a weird problem with power
brakes on my 91 vanagon. The servo is definitely
working, and the brakes are very effective, but you
feel like there is a metal-to-metal contact at about
half the pedal travel. It is audible, sounds/feels
like a "snap" or "clack," and makes you think you've
hit bottom, but there is actually plenty of pedal
left. There is plenty of fluid in reservoir, and van
has low mileage. Has anybody ever run into this sort
of thing?
