Some of you may already knows this yet a TDi oil filter will fit the air cooled engine.  This is a much longer filter with the same diameter.  This would allow for a little more oil and filtering capability.  I used a filter fitting my 98 TDi.  Just thought I would pass this on.   Not sure about the wasserboxer's.
