By popular demand, this is what I have... I bought these at Big O tires, here in the Phoenix area. They are an inexpensive brand, Max Miler, and they are made in Indonesia. That may be a house brand for all I know. They are 185R14C 8ply LT radials (tall skinny tires). The plys are steel, polyester, and nylon. The sidewalls are 2 ply polyester. It is rated max load 1875 at 65 psi. Nothing fancy on the tread, but here in Phoenix I don't really think about rain and snow. I don't know if they are noisy, because the wind whistling through the seals and the radio are all I hear. I would like to share how many miles you can expect from them, but given the alignment problems I had and some parts wearing out, I think I got 35000 or so before re'tire'ment. I got them for $50-55 each. The price they quoted me last time was higher, but I told them what I paid last time and they gave it to me for that price. I don't know if they are on the web or anything. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Bill Marshall 85 GL Tiico Phoenix AZ "snow tires? we don't need no steeenking snow tires"
