It is a first generation material applied by a number of companies including Rhino Liner. Why use old technology. poly-ureas are the second generation of coatings materials, and its tougher, more wear and abrasion resistant. Defender Coatings is one of these. Interesting differences between Polyurethanes and Polyureas. Poly urea membrans can be sprayed over a water puddle and nothing happens - it just sets right up. Do that with polyurethane, and the stuff rises like breaddough.. With both materials however, if you want a long lasting finish, you absolutely must have an aliphatic added to it or it will absolutely fade in the sun. John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
