I'm in the process of installing some VDO gauges in my
'90 Vanagon and I'm wondering if it is possible to add
a transmission temp gauge...as there is not drain
plug.
Having burned up a few trannies over the years (not in
a Vanagon) I've often wondered if a gauge might
prevent cooking it in the event of a failed seal, etc.

Then again...this could be just another jackass of a
project (for which I am famous!)  Any thoughts???
