The Official CB channel for all VW buses is CHANNEL 2, of course!

(It was is obvious for the pre-1980 crowd, since their buses are
referred to as "Type 2"s.  But given the pedigree, Vanagons fall into
the bus/Type2 grouping, therefore Channel 2.

Channel 2 is also relatively traffic free.
