I just have a normal syncro w/ out table etc. I have a Coleman dual
burner gas stove that I keep in my carry case on the roof. It fires up
immediately and I cook everything from A to Z including percolating
coffee. The big bonus is that you don't get those cooking smells all
inside of the van that tend to accumulate after awhile. I personally
wouldn't want a Westy because I never found a need for all the equipment
that I couldn't pack in the van when at last I needed them, water (big
5l plastic dispenser fits under seat), clothes storage is my duffel bag
and I have a lot of room without all of the cabinetry. Roof case
carries a huge amount of stuff, skis, fire wood, stove, food, whatever!
Plus my bed is bigger!

I ordered a 12V coffee maker from A.J. Prindle. It was a new model in their catalog and took forever (much longer than the 20-40 minutes that it mentioned in the manual and only then with a lot of jiggling to get it to drip.) and I could have set up the camp stove and percolated a pot in 1/4 of the time. However, I'd still like to start a cup while in the Van. Anyone have the Koolatron model? Is it more reliable?
