This evening, on the same trip into Sidney that I saw the 2 California westies, I had an uncharacteristic fraternal idea. What if we all (meaning list members) decide on a day and time to celebrate our Vanagon ownership? Maybe toot our horns? Can imagine members discovering hitherto unknown list member neighbours, or just a plaintive beep in the wilderness. What would be an appropriate date? The first or last day of Vanagon production? The birthday of Ben whats-his-name who invented the first VW van? Feast day of St, Jude patron saint of lost causes - "bearded man holding an oar, a boat, boat hook, a club, an axe or a book; nearly every image depicts him wearing a medallion with a profile of Jesus, and usually with a small flame above his head; often carries a pen or sits at a writing location to make reference to the canonical". The description is eerily like many male list members - minus the medallion. What do you all think? Alistair
