There are usually quite a few VW Splitties / Bays / Vanagons that roost
Saturday night at the local Core Of Engineers Park at Lake Bardwell about
six miles South of the track.
Last time around we had entertainment by genuine 60s hippies, retired
folks in Eurovans, a big firepit with fresh BS flowing until the wee
hours of the morning.
If you think my humor is sick you gotta hear some of the other guys that
show up for this thing.
Most distant attendant was from Pueblo Colorado that brought his own
firewwood, fire pit and beverages.
If you like Busses with Ladders, Roof Racks, Solid Oak Bumpers, 1st class
rust and duct tape, this before the Races Saturday Night bru-ha-ha is
worth the trip.
We also had several Vendors in their Giant Motor Homes there if you need
to Bash a Vendor / Manufacturer / Rebuilder they are often available.
Overnight Fees are $12.00 for full hookup at the Bardwell Park.
