It's a good way to learn about VW's and cars in general, but will have very
little that specifically relates to watercooled Vanagons. When Muir wrote
the book, the Bus was still in production. After his death the book was
updated to include some aircooled Vanagon references, but not much that
would apply to a watercooled model. Pity, because it's an exceptional book
(and an absolute must-read for any aircooled VW owner). There was a
watercooled version of the book called "Poor Richard's Rabbit Manual'
published by Muir Publications for a short time some years ago, but as the
name implies, it really was geared toward Rabbits rather than watercooled
VW's in general.
