While I disagree with Mike's comments, if you want to ban him, you'll need
to ban lots of others for non-related content as well.  We tend to meander a
lot on the list.  What you're proposing is motivated by the fact that what
he said was offensive, not that it was off topic.  Careful about opening
that can of worms.
