Hello All,

Just got a sliding door handle in the mail today from a newer Vanagon
(thanks Glenn).  I searched the archives, but I didn't find anything about
the 'slight' modification needed to put a newer handle on an older van
(84').  It looks like I may have to shave a little off of the end so that
the handle will insert all the way, but I don't see a clear way to remove
the lock mechanism.  Any advice on how to install this handle properly will
be greatly appreciated.
