Hi all,

A friend of mine with an '85 Jetta mentioned a bucking problem that seems
very similar to vanagon syndrome; cruising along at a steady speed on a
highway, it would start to buck. Anyone familiar with this happening on
Jettas? Do they have an AFM wiper track that can wear out?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, while showing him my van's AFM, I broke the black plastic cover.
Wasn't trying to take it off, it just crumbled. Maybe it had a hidden crack.
Anyway, if anyone has an extra they could part with, let me know.
