<P>way too many mountains, but way too beatiful at the sametime.&nbsp; i now live in montana having moved from new york a year ago.&nbsp; the worst part of the trip was wyoming. wyoming is the windiest state in the country and in my 90 gl i barely could go more then 45-50 with it floored.&nbsp; however, it was breathetakingly beautiful and sight not to be missed.&nbsp; once you get into montana and go through billings it smoothes out (the wind that is) and your only obstacle are the mountains.&nbsp; there are then maybe 4 or 5 burly passes to seattle but if you do it smart and rest your van you will be fine.&nbsp; there are turn outs on the passes that you can stop to cool your engine.&nbsp; i was under full load with mine and at the time my cooling system was screwing up, but i made it without over heating.&nbsp; you should be fine if your van is ship shape.&nbsp; if you run into problems in montana or idaho, i live in western montana and would be happy to lend a hand.&nbsp; my number is 406-360-9873.&nbsp; the 82 deisels are not very powerful but i never knew anybody who could not make a long trip through the mountains in one.&nbsp; just don't be in a hurry.&nbsp; july is hot&nbsp;so cool your van on the passes!</P>
