Lessee, $20 is "up to" 20% brighter than $5. Well, that's the law of diminishing returns. However, I believe the legal definition of "up to 20%" includes zero per cent, so you might have to test on a brand-by-brand basis to see which ones it's brighter than. Also our visual response is logarithmic, so a measured 20% increase in intensity will translate to far less than a 20% perceived difference. So if there's an advantage it's here, but...I don't think it's worth four times the price. >[Sharpest.] >A sharp profile, silver tip, and amethyst blue coating create a dramatic, >high-end, crisp, clean look. Here I think we come to the root of it. These folks would just love for you to buy their bulbs because they look nice -- assuming you can see them at all mounted in a headlight. Diagnosis: place for rice boys (see http://www.riceboypage.com/index.html ) to spend money. david >_________________________________________________________________ >Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com -- David Beierl - Providence, RI http://pws.prserv.net/synergy/Vanagon/ '84 Westy "Dutiful Passage" '85 GL "Poor Relation"
