My Vanagon's going through the conversion process with a '85 Audi 4000 1.8L
GTi-type engine going in.  My mechanic is going Digifant II and was saying a
knock sensor isn't really neccessary due to the later Digifant being a bit
more intelligent and runs a little leaner.  What does the jury think?
