I've heard reports of people installing Synthetic oil right from the get
go on new engines and still not having the engine broken in for 25,000
miles.
They just never developed the full compression that the engine should
develop.
I think you'll find this in the archives.
I'm at 7000 miles on a new engine and holding off till 10000 miles to
make the change to Mobil 1, If I ever make the change.
