Subject:Re: how much oil in 82 diesel

On 2wd diesel Vanagons the tranny nose mount is different than all
others. It raises the tranny nose quite a bit with the desired effect of
lowering the back of the engine to clear the engine cover better at the
injection pump. The 2wd diesel oil pan is designed to offset this tilted
engine/tranny position and still have the oil pan level to the ground.
If you use this oil pan with any other tranny or engine mounting
position the bottom of the pan may and probably will not be level to the
ground.
