Hi,

I just purchased one of those programmable wiper relays for my 87 Westy. I
figured it would be a simple matter of pulling out the old relay and
plugging in the new one. That's all I had to do on my 86 GTI (a long time a
go). I pulled out the old relay and found that the programmable one has a
couple of more male connections than the original one. I did find a spot on
the relay panel just above the location of the original wiper relay that
has all of the right "female" connections so the relay plugs in.

My question is, do I have to "rewire" the relay panel for the programmable
relay? If so, any ideas?
