>take my advise until someone else that has actually used on tells you Stans Nuts. Stan Wilder 83 Air Cooled Westfalia Stan IS nuts!...however, I have never owned one of these trailers. Did see one in a bad movie starring Mac Davis, called "Cheaper to Keep Her", he pulled it around behind a Pinto or something. Looked rather goofy and I don't think it would make for a very good Vanagon trailer as you would never see it in the rear view or know how much rear length you have short of placing a tall orange bike flag on it. JB Stan, I've been thinking about that Westy on the pontoon idea....how about removing drivetrain and suspension leaving everything else as the gas tank could run the outboard, the wipers could still be useful, the reverse lights could be used as running lights, side marker color change for running lights, keep all the glass to help with bad weather, all the Westy electricals to run the Westy equipment, build a water recovery system from the outboard to run the interior heater cores, maybe a platform above the cab for sunbathing....I'm still thinking....call it a PonFalia or a Westoon. Now what's a Westy weigh minus drivetrain and suspension?
