Ever so often I search out information on other 83 Westies and Vanagons.
My 1983 Westy Air Cooled has a production date of September 8, 1982.
Has anyone got a 83 Air Cooled Vanagon or Westy with a production date
later than the 9/8/82 ?
I've never found one and although I don't think I have the last one off
the production line, I've found that my Westy Color *Escatorial green*
was never offered as a US Import color option.
Secondly that most of this color were sold to Military personnel and
brought in as Special Order (mine came from a military purchaser that
made his deposit in Germany and waited 6 months until he got discharged
to take delivery in the US through a dealer.)
I've found several the same color but all had prior production dates.
This is just a SNIPE HUNT so if you got one just P-mail me, don't think
the rest of the list has a reason to care about Air Heads Needing To
Know.
