The fan motor I would replace with a muffin fan from Radio shack.  Beats the
heck out of the corny kiddy toy car electric motor that is in there now.
Very slight modification to mount one of these fans and they are quieter and
move more air.  Why not mount two while you are at it and increase your
efficiency of the fridge (I did not too long ago).
Just ideas.
