Those wings and the double bladed wipers are a great improvement on Motor
Homes with giant flat windshields.
My brothers Mercedes  Sedan has the wing on the back of the blade and he
claims it helps at high speed.
I've never had either on any of my vehicles except on big motorhomes.
I have seen wiper blades that has a screw devise to add tension to the
hold down spring.
