I would, also, be willing to tackle a subject manner.  The archives are
great place for insomniacs to hang out.  Possibly a good first step would be
a compilation of topic choices.  I have a long list of repairs I can do to
my van, so I would be really flexible on which topic I would research.

count me in for a portion of the FAQ. I know I assume much (my ability to
complete in a timely manner and your tacit agreement to organise such an
effort), but I thought I'd volunteer to get the ball rolling.

The list will benefit from a cogent FAQ (tires, silver socket - you name
it!), the address of which is given to everyone when they sign up for the
list.
