Sharon, You are doomed--- I just got done doing the heads on my 74---and that tin is going to have to be removed prior to even getting close to the plug hole for repair---- What a pain---- I am almost positive the engine will have to be dropped to properly remove the tin in sequence-- Good Luck, Terry E-mail message Some more information: The bus is an 82 westy and it is the #2 plug. It looks like the tin is in the way. the sparkplug hole is about 8 inches down in there. Can I get the tin off without lowering the engine? It doesn't look like I can even attempt it with the tin on. I think it is possible. You just have to take off enough stuff to get to it. I think I need a helicoil or a new sleeve? Can the cylinder head be removed with the engine in the bus? anyone ever done this. I need the bus fixed for Natural bus so I'm running out of time.
