Mine broke the same way --the control knob /switch was worn out--

I had to replace the whole unit--it's a non repairable item--

took top cap/part off, black wire is broken and maybe not fixable
is it (the part, not the whole faucet) replaceable? (not found at bus
depot
or gowesty)
