Is it normal for the AC compressor to moan in an 85?

It was just converted to 134 last fall. I found a new filter/dryer for $25
and put the new oil in. My brother, who's a diesel tech, put a vacuum on the
system for a few hours to lower the boiling point to get rid of all the
moisture in the system. Then we added enough 134 to have a decent discharge
pressure. It is cold, it blows right in your face.  I plan to use it for
highway driving on hot and really windy days . I like having the windows
open usually.
