I had a small mishap this weekend that involved inattentive driving, a dark stretch of road and a steep railroad crossing. It was exciting to say the least when I realized the front end of the van was no longer in contact with the road surface, and that all the stuff on (and in) the dashboard was floating at eye level. Predictably, the van came down quite hard (twice, if you include the bounce) on the suspension; hard enough that I expected the shocks to be blown out or at least something bent. Preliminary inspection shows nothing amiss; the van continues to drive straight and the shocks (new-ish Boges) seem to be dampening properly. Should I count my blessings and move on, or are there other things I should check? I know some of you guys are pretty rough on your Syncros, but I genuinely do my best to keep all four wheels on the ground...
