Lift the latch on the right side of the seat base, and slide the seat all the way forward, then slide it back about 1/4". On the left side of the seat base, where the back meets the base, there's a black plastic triangle that covers the joint for the seat back. At the front lower edge of that, you will find a small, spring-loaded piece of steel that is a safety catch. Lift that, and you will be able to slide the seat the rest of the way forward off the rails. Both sides work the same way. bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...." > From: Chris Hinkle <chris_hinkle@HOTMAIL.COM> > Reply-To: Chris Hinkle <chris_hinkle@HOTMAIL.COM> > Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2002 11:26:56 -0500 > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Front Seat Removal > > Folks, > Can sbdy please explain how to remove the front seats in my 87 Westy? > > I've checked the archives, and looked at Bentley, but can't figure it out. > > > Thanks in advance, > > Chris > '87 Tiico Westy > > _________________________________________________________________ > MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: > http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx >
