I would suggest you have some new friends ready when you get home, because the ones who ride in the back seat will be ready to mutiny after 8000 miles on the "Rack". I always carry an expanded tool kit, oil, filter, funnel, and radiator hose repair tape. Fuses. Light bulbs. (Headlight bulbs?) Take an extra extension cord, because the factory one isn't long enough for a lot of situations. Screens for all your windows, including the side door if you have it. Water pressure limiter to avoid blowing out your water lines when city pressure is high. Shower shoes, backpacking towel. Best of luck, send us a trip report now and then! bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...." > From: "Patrick K." <robothefan@HOTMAIL.COM> > Reply-To: "Patrick K." <robothefan@HOTMAIL.COM> > Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2002 09:18:40 -0500 > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: 8000 mile road trip planned on 83 Westy > > Ok this july I am planning an 8000+ mile road trip visiting 12 Six Flags > amusement parks.
