My front (left) turn signal housing was cracked & the bulb socket
corroded enough to lose one of the electrical contacts completely
(the turn signal filament).  I've replaced the plastic housing &
lens, but I can't find the actual socket listed in any of the on-line
sources.  Any advice on how to proceed?  (I haven't tried a local VW
dealer yet.)

This is a great group.  I just joined & am impressed with the amount
of traffic & the eagerness to help each other.
