Eric- Get the Thule tall foot bracket rack that will clear the pop-top which mounts in the gutters. This is what I use for my kayak. Mount the forward bar ahead of the latch end of the pop-top, mount the rear bar near the back edge of the top. These are the 305 mm (12 inches) feet which holds the bars about 114 mm( 4.5 inches) above the pop-top. Then when you want to pop the top, you only have to remove the rear bar. And there is no drilling! Although this looks like the most practical solution, I’m having a hard time committing to the idea of drilling holes in my camper top. Any comments/encouragement from those of you who have done this would be appreciated; arguments against also appreciated. ~Eric~ ’89 WestyGet more from the Web.
