The VW diesel is a good solid engine, but in stock form they are way underpowered for most people.

 I have seen many entries on changing a gasoline engine to a diesel, but none
 on the other way around.  I would much prefer a diesel (so I can convert it
 to greasel) and am wondering why no-one seems to want the VW diesel.  Is
 there a problem with these engines?
