Economics, I would have stuck with diesel if I could've found a
turbo diesel motor within $1000 to upgrade, but alas until just
after the gnomes installed the digifant I could not find one.

I have seen many entries on changing a gasoline engine to a diesel, but none
on the other way around.  I would much prefer a diesel (so I can convert it
to greasel) and am wondering why no-one seems to want the VW diesel.  Is
there a problem with these engines?
