Check the BACKSIDE of your fuse box if you are smelling that
"electrical" odor when you are in the drivers seat. I found (to my
annoyance) that some old oxidized connectors  (the connector tabs are
aluminum which becomes an insulator when it oxidizes) that the wire
harness' connect to were causing the plastic connectors to melt. :(
