You got to love'm, these VW dealers.

I called OWASCO and ordered the part.
Ready for pickup today they say.... NOT.
Now they tell me its back ordered all the way to Germany.
Will I have a hand brake this season? ever?

Now I'm thinking that a used hand brake cable may be the answer.

Is there anyone out there who is parting out a Vanagon (1980 to 1992 ETKA says)
and has a hand brake cable which is in safe condition (no frays or rust on
cable, good thread on rod)?
