My 1990 Carat was leaking to the inside (can you say smelly carpet?). It
turned out I had a cracked draining tray. The draining tubes you can check
from the outside by blowing some compressed air up-stream in the tubes, you
just need to remove the rear side vents and fish the tubes. This was tried
on my van, kept leaking. It's the easy way. Good luck.
