I would like to take a minute to thank everyone on the Vanagon.com for
helping me with my CV joint replacment in my 1988 Weekender. I used a soft
metal hammer to hammer off the old cv's off the shaft without any problem
except for the stubborn first one. I poured plenty of Liquid Wrench into it
and let it soaked. Then it finally popped off after a good half hour of
rotary-hammering.
       After installation of new cv joints and boots, my Weekender rode very
smoothly at 80mph on freeway, in comparing to 60mph with annoying vibration
in the rear end...
